Euplotes sp. Es un protozoo ciliado de agua dulce que se alimenta de bacterias. Las células de euplotes son bastante rígidas, aplanadas dorsoventralmente y aproximadamente ovoides, con una región oral muy grande (peristoma). Euplotes se mueve y se alimenta con la ayuda de cilios compuestos llamados "cirros", formados por gruesos mechones de cilios distribuidos en la célula en puntos específicos.
