An ancient instrument of the Indonesian Archipelago, the angklung is made up of bamboo tubes on a frame. The tubes rattle against the frame when the player shakes the instrument, making the sound of a single note. Many angklungs, tuned to different notes of the scale, are played together in large orchestras.
