I’ve shown how I put last pieces in before, here it is in a bit more detail. It’s not how the vinyl siding institute teaches - they want you to use finish trim nailed every 6-8” with the siding snap lock punched and slid into the finish trim. I use Mulco Supra expert for adhesion - it is highly elastic as well, which allows the siding to still expand and contract and move with the piece below it.
