Faceting this sapphire truly felt like putting a frame around a piece of art. I can’t tell if it looks like waves, mountains, or dragon scales, but seeing all that texture framed in the center of a perfectly clear sapphire tells a story like no other. The natural bumps and craters on raw Montana sapphires are so fascinating to me, and I’ve wanted to try capturing them like this for months now. This is actually the first Yogo Montana sapphire I’ve cut, and I am very proud of it! Its rough weight
