The Brittas Empire (1991-1997). Love it or not, it was one of the most successful and popular sitcoms of the 90s. Capturing the British interest in leisure centres that decade, it introduced the audience to an unbearable manager called Gordon Brittas, his downtrodden wife Helen, the emotionally unstable receptionist Carole (who famously kept her baby in the desk drawers) and other larger than life employees in a fictional Hampshire town where death and destruction was just normality. 53 episodes
