The Ari of the Omo Valley (Ethiopia) are one of the largest ethnic groups in the region. They live primarily in the fertile, mountainous areas near Jinka and are mainly farmers. They cultivate coffee, corn, sorghum, bananas, and other crops, which they then sell in local markets.Unlike other Omo ethnic groups, the Ari tend to wear modern clothing and do not have a particularly distinctive body aesthetic, although they maintain their own traditions in music, dance, and ceremonies. Their houses ar
