33 reactions | The annual post-Simchat Torah celebration was held in Hebron. Second Hakafot dancing with the Torah took place in the Hall of Isaac and Rebecca, the largest section of the Tomb of the Patriarchs & Matriarchs complex. This hall is accessible to Jews ten-days a year as part of the rotation agreement with the Waqf. In this hall is the entrance into the Cave of Machpela. Simchat Torah is a day of pure joy, where the connection between the Jewish people and the Torah is celebrated with dancing and singing. Despite the challenges Israel faces, including last year’s canceled festivities due to conflict, this year’s celebration was even more vibrant. Holding the Torah, dancing with it, felt like an act of resilience, a reminder that our bond with it is eternal.
