Yesterday marked the anniversary of Carl Czerny’s death (1791–1857). His etudes have been a cornerstone of my practice routine for many years, and I’m grateful to my professor, Grigory Gruzman, for guiding me through them. Each etude by Czerny targets a specific technical challenge, making them an outstanding preparation - especially for Beethoven.
