It was delivered on 28 May 1941 by North British Locomotive Company, who eventually delivered 564 of the 2,987 Matilda IIs. Bad news! Unfortunately Matilda II will not be running at TANKFEST this year. This is a huge disappointment, not least because the restoration team has been working 7 days a week on the project for months.
