A source confirms to the BBC that the governemnt is holding talks with Labour MPs about proposals for welfare reforms.

The Government’s plans to restrict access to some disability benefits have been publicly opposed by 126 Labour MPs.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowed on Tuesday to press on with his reforms to the welfare system despite opposition by more than 100 of his lawmakers who are threatening a major rebellion over the changes.
