The New York Mets are hiring U.S. Tennis Association CEO Lew Sherr as their new president of business operations.

Sherr led an overhaul of the U.S. player development program and the coming renovation of Arthur Ashe Stadium at the U.S.

In Sherr's time as CEO, the USTA has seen nationwide growth in tennis participation, and increases in US Open attendance, sponsorships, and revenue from ticket sales and broadcasting rights.
