MLB honored the late Hank Aaron with an emotional and visually stunning presentation that left fans and players alike reaching for tissues. The tribute recreated Aaron’s record-breaking 715th home run with fireworks, digital visuals, and a launched baseball simulating the historic shot that took place at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in April 1974.

Four years ago, the annual Midsummer Classic was pulled from Atlanta in response to Georgia’s new voting restrictions. The game returns to the city Tuesday in a different political climate.
