Multiple tornado sightings were reported across Southeast Texas on Saturday, only days after a twister outbreak damaged several Houston-area homes.

Chief Meteorologist David Paul shows where high winds and tornadoes left damage across the region. Tornadoes were seen in Wharton, Harris and Liberty counties.

A swath of severe weather spawned multiple tornadoes in southeastern Texas Thursday, part of a multi-day severe weather threat sweeping across the South through the end of the week.

HOUSTON — Severe weather moved through the Houston area Saturday, the second time in three days that storms producing funnel clouds and tornadoes were captured on video.

Houston received a smattering of storms that struck communities throughout the region a day after Christmas. Thursday’s storms, highlighted by multiple reported tornadoes in the area, led to some damage throughout the area.

The National Weather Service continues to monitor the threat for strong to severe storms in Alabama today, Saturday and Sunday. Isolated severe storms will be possible today and Sunday, but Saturday will feature the highest risk for storms the state has seen in a while.

A warm front will lift north on Saturday morning, leading to an increase in temperatures and humidity. Highs will rise into the middle to upper 60s Saturday afternoon across the entire area as a strong to severe line of storms develops in Mississippi.
