Wisconsin has seen a series of large damage totals from flooding since 1997, with the largest being $49 million in flood insurance claims in 2008 along with $24 million in 2018. Wisconsin Policy Forum released the data after last weekend’s Milwaukee flooding were some areas saw more than 14 inches of rain.

Greenfield residents continue to clean up after historic flooding led to sewage backups on some streets, damaging homes and personal belongings.
