Darren Aronofsky in Early Talks to Direct Dwayne Johnson in Drama ‘Breakthrough’ for A24 Zeke Goodman wrote the film set in turn-of-the-century Southern California.

Johnson will star in a biographical sports drama, an A24 film, The Smashing Machine. With a release date of October 3, 2025, the wrestling icon will portray former wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr.
