Four Army choppers have been pressed into rescue operations to save eight people still trapped under snow in the avalanche that struck near Mana Village in Chamoli district of the state, district magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said on Saturday.

The Chamoli Police have released a list of 55 workers who were trapped in an avalanche in Mana, Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, on February 28. The incident has triggered massive rescue efforts as authorities work tirelessly to bring the trapped workers to safety.
