A vegetation fire in Corona burned around 20 acres, prompting authorities to issue evacuation orders on Friday. The Green Fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. near Palisades Drive and Green River Road.

The intense blaze started just before 10:50 a.m. in a parking lot near the intersection of 33rd Street S and Crystal Drive. That is not far from Route 1 and Reagan Washington National Airport.
