CBS News tapped Tanya Simon to become the "60 Minutes" executive producer following parent company Paramount's major settlement to President Donald Trump.

Paramount announced Wednesday afternoon that the creators of “South Park” had agreed to produce 50 new episodes over the next five years in a deal reportedly valued at $1.5 billion

The US FCC has approved the merger of Paramount Global and Skydance Media. This deal transfers control of CBS, Paramount Pictures and other networks to Skydance. The approval follows a settlement in a lawsuit filed by Donald Trump.
