The Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers are one win away from advancing to the conference final, thanks to Game 4 victories.

The Carolina Hurricanes are moving on to the Eastern Conference Final after their 3-1 Game 5 win over the Washington Capitals. After winning Round 1 in five games, the Hurricanes repeated that effort with another Game 5 win in Round 2 to take the series 4-1 in Washington,

Stuart Skinner turned away 24 shots in his shutout win for the home side. The win marked the first shutout of the postseason for the Oilers, who prior to Game 4, allowed at least three goals in seven of nine games. Vegas didn't have an answer for Skinner all night and now it is in a must-win spot in Game 5 at T-Mobile Arena.
