The latest Steam Hardware Survey suggests more players are now using an Nvidia GTX 1660 GPU, rather than making the jump to newer cards like the RTX 4060.

The GTX 1650 Super was introduced in late 2019 as a mid-cycle refresh to the Turing-based entry-level card, the GTX 1650.

According to TechPowerUp's GPU computing power aggregates, it is faster than the RTX 2060 and GTX 1080 desktop graphics cards.

The card itself bears a strong resemblance to ASUS' very own GTX 1660 Super Dual EVO, a non-mining GPU, in terms of cooler design. There are some minor changes, however.

MSI's GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X 6G is exceptional at doing what it's designed to do: deliver a moderate-cost GPU option to gamers in search of high refresh rates in 1080p.

That allows it a memory bandwidth of 288GBps, versus 192GBps for the GTX 1060. The GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q variant is said to be about 15 percent slower than the full-fat version.
