A Boulder County jury heard from eyewitnesses Tuesday in the trial of a woman accused of fatally hitting a 17-year-old cyclist on the Diagonal Highway in July 2023.

Yeva Smilianska, 24, is accused of reckless vehicular homicide in the death of Boulder cyclist Magnus White, a rising star who had been scheduled to race on the U.S. national team. He was fatally struck on Colo. 119, also known as the Diagonal Highway, in 2023.

On the second day of Yeva Smilianska's trial, a handful of witnesses tearfully recalled the afternoon they saw the woman swerve off Highway 119, striking and killing Magnus White, 17.
