Connecticut State Police troopers along with local fire crews are responding to a small downed plane in Deep River on Friday evening. State police say they received a call around 4:15 p.m. for a small glider aircraft that had crashed into the wood line in the area of Cedar Lake Road in the town.

Police and the Deep River Fire Department responded at 4:15 p.m. for an aircraft that had crashed on Cedar Lake Road, also known as Route 145, police said. A LifeStar helicopter has been dispatched to the scene, police said. Injuries have been reported in the crash, though the extent of those was not immediately known, police said.
