During Gabriel Basso’s Thursday appearance on “Live With Kelly and Mark,” the “Night Agent” star comically attempted to avoid hugging Kelly Ripa in front of her longtime husband, Mark Consuelos. Basso, 30, who was on the morning show to promote Season 2 of the Netflix thriller, walked out and approached Ripa with his hand extended outward.

During a late night appearance this past week, Basso spoke about the new episodes of the series hitting the Netflix schedule on January 23rd and explained the real reason he feels like it’s important to do as much as he can stunt-wise on the series. It all boils down to him wanting the audience to have an authentic experience:
"I get stopped by people, but I don't have a come-talk-to-me disposition," Basso says. "There's a little bit of hesitancy to approach. But I am friendly. I'm not a murderer. Especially when you're paying me a compliment.
Gabriel was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. The son of lawyer Louis J. Basso Jr. and his wife Marcie – who has an acting credit in the film, Ghost Image – Gabriel grew up with two sisters.
