With the busy summer travel season underway, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning globetrotters about the dangers of using USB

“Hackers can install malware at USB ports (we’ve been told that’s called ‘juice/port jacking’),” the TSA wrote on Facebook. “So, when you’re at an airport do not plug your phone directly into a USB port. Bring your TSA-compliant power brick or battery pack and plug in there.”

Think twice before plugging into that free USB charging port at the airport! The TSA has just issued a warning about a cyber threat called "juice jacking" — where hackers can potentially steal your data or install malware on your phone just by using public USB ports.
