The U.S. Supreme Court has acted in a series of cases involving challenges to executive orders signed by President Donald Trump and actions by his administration since he returned to office in January.

Coming into Donald Trump’s second presidency, it was often assumed that the U.S. Supreme Court would act as a rubber stamp for whatever Trump wanted to do. After all, there are six conservatives on the court,
