The Big Ten Conference started off like gangbusters in the NCAA Tournament, winning the first 10 games league teams were involved in. Since, they have been in a bit of a slide, as the competition has heated up and we have narrowed the field down to the Sweet 16.

Not since Michigan State in 2000 has the conference won a men's basketball championship. The good news is that the Big Ten still holds the record for the most NCAA tournament titles with 22, but only seven of those have come in the last 50 years. We're not counting Maryland's 2002 championship since the school was a member of the ACC at the time.
