South County Habitat for Humanity and government leaders gathered for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday morning.

The dream of homeownership is coming true for two families in Kissimmee. Habitat for Humanity broke ground on two new homes over the weekend. Officials said the lots will have new energy-efficient homes in only a few weeks.

Habitat for Humanity will be hosting a realtor build event that will help families in need for affordable housing Wednesday. The event will be at noon at the Habitat for Humanity construction site in the Boone Prairie Subdivision off Brown Station Road.
