Judge Frank Caprio, a former judge for the Providence Municipal Court, died following a bout with pancreatic cancer, according to a statement posted to social media.

Longtime Providence Municipal Court Chief Judge Frank Caprio died Wednesday, Aug. 20, after a battle with pancreatic cancer, his family confirmed through social media.

"His warmth, humour, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him," the statement said.
