It has been one week since the explosion rocked this tight-knit community, beginning a massive investigation into what caused the deadly blast by the State Fire Marshal’s office.

Authorities raided a San Francisco home in connection with the deadly fireworks explosion that killed seven people in the Yolo County community of Esparto on July 1.

Beyond that, local officials cited the ongoing criminal investigation led by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Investigators from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as Cal-OSHA and others, are also investigating what unfolded in the late afternoon July 1.
