Netflix confirmed Devil May Cry Season 2 on its official social media account on X (formerly Twitter). Season 1 premiered on April 3, 2025, with eight episodes.

Netflix has renewed Devil May Cry for a second season, just one week after the first season premiered. There is still a ways to go if the streaming series wants to catch up to the video-game series.

Devil May Cry Season 2 will be a "very different show," says Netflix showrunner Adi Shankar. Dante will "level up," showing more skills and iconic badassery familiar to fans of the games.

The season finale titled A River of Blood and Fire, is filled with foreshadowing for Devil May Cry season 2. The finale shows Mary Arkham betraying Dante and sedating him to take him into custody.

Devil May Cry also stars Kevin Conry, Scout Taylor-Compton, Hoon Lee, and Chris Coppola. The entire first season is now streaming.

According to the streaming giant, Devil May Cry ’s first season debuted at #4 on its global top 10 list with 5.3M views in just three days. It also boasts a 95% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Devil May Cry is clearly confident enough to end on a cliffhanger, however, and showrunner Adi Shankar appears to have a multi-season arc in mind, much like Castlevania did.

Devil May Cry season 2 has yet to secure a release date, but the series was renewed for a second round back in April. IGN's Devil May Cry Season 1 review returned an 8/10.
