Riverside County firefighters are battling a quickly-growing brush fire burning in the hills near Banning. It was first reported at around 3 p.m. in the area of the Wolfskill Truck Trail, located near old Banning and Idyllwild Road,

A brush fire near Banning had grown to about 100 acres Sunday afternoon and threatened to spread further, according to the fire monitoring website Watch Duty. The site reported the Wolf Fire was off Old Idyllwild Road south of Sherlion Drive.
