The University of Arizona women’s basketball team (11-7, 2-3 in Big 12) suffered a 79-58 loss to Iowa State University on Saturday, Jan. 11 in McKale Center. This is their second straight loss and third overall since starting Big 12 play.

Freshmen Mailien Rolf and Lauryn Swann earned the start over Skylar Jones and Paulina Paris. That change paid off as the Wildcats beat the Knights 75-53. Arizona started the game on a 10-0 run, including a three from Swann.

Baylor took care of business on its road trip to Arizona with two wins, capped off by a 78-59 win over the Sun Devils. Things got chippy right out of the gates with Darianna Littlepage-Buggs getting into an altercation with ASU’s Kennedy Fauntleroy resulting in got players being ejected.
