The Royal Mobile Home Park in Longmont was hit hard by the flood waters of the St. Vrain River last week. The park sits only a few yards from the river and it remains closed.

Residents of a Longmont mobile home park on Wednesday requested $300,000 in city funds to keep living costs affordable for all tenants upon finalizing a deal to purchase the property as a co-op.

Known as LMP Co-op, the cooperative eliminates the homeowners’ risk of displacement, gives them more control over lot rent fluctuations, and preserves affordable home ownership in Longmont.
