LONGVIEW, Texas — Longview youth will be able to use two city recreation centers for free under a new universal membership policy approved by the City Council.

Seven contractors submitted bids to build a new recreation center at 59 Low St., with L.D. Russo, Inc. coming in at the lowest.

After discussion of recreation fee changes last month, it came before Longview City Council today for a vote and was unanimously approved.
