GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A visitors center in the Grand Mesa National Forest is scheduled to get a $600,000 renovation starting next summer.

The U.S. Forest Service is hopeful that it will be able to reopen its Grand Mesa Visitor Center for the coming summer season after not opening it this past summer.

Mesa had once planned for a grand museum, but will instead open a 1,200-square foot center that ensures visitors focus on the ruins.

The center will be open all the way through Sept. 28 opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m. The center will be accompanied by staff and volunteers to assist the Grand Mesa’s visitors.
