Actor Eric Dane, best known for playing Dr. Mark "McSteamy" Sloan in Grey's Anatomy, is opening up about his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease, revealing in a recent interview that he has lost control of his right arm.

The actor Eric Dane says he can no longer use his right arm because of ALS, a degenerative brain disease that slowly robs people of mobility. While there is no cure for ALS, current treatments can slow the progression of symptoms and prolong independence. Dane, who portrays Cal Jacobs on Euphoria, announced his ALS diagnosis in April.
