Expanding on the success of the MLB Debut Patch, Topps, Major League Baseball and Nike have partnered to recognize baseball's elite performers from last season with custom gold-embellished MLB logos on their jerseys that will then be used to create trading cards.

Beginning this season, the league is bestowing a gold MLB patch on the jerseys of the reigning MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year winners. That means Shohei Ohtani (MVP), Aaron Judge (MVP), Chris Sale (Cy Young), Tarik Skubal (Cy Young), Luis Gil (Rookie) and Paul Skenes (Rookie) will each sport the special logo all summer.
