Two waves of snow are forecast for Colorado this week: one starting tonight and continuing through Wednesday morning and one that will span Thursday through the weekend, forecasters said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook. As of Monday morning, snow total forecasts were only available through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Continued warmth and sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday melted the state's snowpack some as high temperatures soared into the 40s, 50s, and even low 60s at some southern Colorado

After an early taste of summery weather, Colorado’s mountains can expect a return to winter-like conditions this weekend with a series of storms predicted to hit the Western Slope heading into next week.
