Authorities have found the body of a woman visiting Alaska's capital city who did not return to her cruise ship from a hike she said she was taking.

Rescuers in Alaska recovered the body of a 62-year-old woman who went on a hike in the mountains near Juneau after leaving the Norwegian Bliss cruise ship.

A Kentucky doctor who was previously reported missing in Alaska has been found dead, the Juneau Police Department said.Marites Buenafe, 62, was an employee with University of Kentucky Healthcare, according to NBC affiliate WLEX.
