Lame is an open source MP3 encoder with fully integration to Exact Audio Copy. Because of licensing restrictions Lame is not included in Exact Audio Copy and it has to be installed separately.

Older versions of Audacity can't export MP3s natively, and you'll need to install an add-on called the "LAME MP3 encoder" to do so.
