Abbott is making its BinaxNOW COVID-19 test available to schools, pharmacies, universities and workplaces, CNBC reported Jan. 12.

The FDA has authorized Abbott's BinaxNOW COVID-19 test for at-home use. The test was previously authorized for use by a trained professional only.

Abbott Labs got emergency approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for its rapid antigen test, which can detect a Covid-19 infection in 15 minutes.
