Shedeur Sanders wasn't the only big-name rookie to make his anticipated NFL debut this weekend. A day after the Cleveland Browns quarterback spiced up his team's competition under center, Sanders' former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter took the field for his own 2025 opener,

• Mason Rudolph, not Aaron Rodgers, started at quarterback for the Steelers. That's not a big surprise, Rodgers' only preseason action since 2018 was a brief outing for the Jets two years ago. It's possible Rodgers won't play at all this preseason, even though he's with a new team. Rudolph completed 9-of-10 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Jacksonville Jaguars star rookie Travis Hunter made his preseason debut on Saturday against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. He played wide receiver with the starters but later suited up at cornerback with the second-teamers.
