The U.S. Supreme Court has acted in a series of cases involving challenges to executive orders signed by President Donald Trump and actions by his administration since he returned to office in January.

Lower courts had blocked the policy, saying it was not supported by evidence and violated equal protection principles.

The Supreme Court has allowed enforcement of the Trump administration's ban on transgender military service. The ruling was made after the administration sought emergency relief from the court. Litigation around the transgender troop ban continues in lower courts and may return to the Supreme Court.
