Just like in a Looney Tunes’ cartoon, a bruised and battered Wile E. Coyote may soon limp back to fight another day.

Bugs Bunny has been a Warner Bros. icon for 80-plus years. Naturally, Max just deleted any evidence that he existed before 1990.

The original Looney Tunes shorts are no longer available to stream on Max as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's move away from children's programming.

Fans of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang have been left without a streaming home to watch their favorite toon pals. Max has quietly removed the original Looney Tunes animated shorts -- produced between 1930 and 1969 during animation's golden age -- from its streaming lineup.

Max has dropped the original Warner Bros. cartoons from its lineup, which our TV critic says leaves us with the pastiche and is similar to removing books from a library.

While all of the original theatrical shorts were removed from the platform, not all Looney Tunes content is gone from Max. You can still stream the newer Looney Tunes Cartoons series that first came out in 2020 as well as 2015's New Looney Tunes. There are also two seasons of Tiny Toons Looniversity that remain on the platform.
