Two lots of cheese curds have been recalled from Trader Joe’s stores after random sample testing turned up listeria in some finished product. Manufacturer Face Rock Creamery’s recall notice said the Oregon company did the testing itself on its Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds.

Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for a batch of garlic cheddar cheese curds due to possible listeria contamination. The affected product, made by Face Rock Creamery, was sold in select stores across northern California and northern Nevada.

Trader Joe’s said Friday that a “single lot code” of the cheese curds have been recalled in response to the potential risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
