Broncos QB coach Davis Webb called plays Saturday night for the first time in an NFL game. After 562 yards and 7.8 per play, the rave reviews poured in.

First, the team placed cornerback Gregory Junior (hamstring) on the waived/injured list. To fill Junior's former spot on the offseason roster, the Broncos signed cornerback Micah Abraham. Denver now has 91 players on the roster.

Only one starter played for the Broncos - tight end Evan Engram who showed he was overqualified with a 58-yard catch-and-run. Franklin had two TD catches.

ARIZONA -- The Denver Broncos play host to the Arizona Cardinals later tonight for the second week of preseason activities - though prominent starters for neither team will be suiting up at Mile High.

Start with Zach Allen, D.J. Jones, John Franklin-Myers, self-proclaimed “sixth man of the year” Malcolm Roach and rookie third-rounder Sai’vion Jones. That leaves a potential battle between Eyioma Uwazurike and Jordan Jackson for a sixth spot.
