Winter weather advisory: Blowing snow, brutal cold in SE Wisconsin
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of southeastern Wisconsin until noon Monday. There is no change to the Weather Watch 12 snowfall forecast. One to two inches is expected area-wide with light snow continuing into early Monday morning.
The forecast heading into MLK Day will be beautiful to kick off the new week! Highs will top out in the lower 50s with plenty of sunshine to go around. A dry cold front is expected to swing in by the end of the day to reinforce the current cool, chilly weather.
Wisconsin is bracing for one of the coldest evenings of the season with wind chills expected to plunge as low as -40 to -50 in some areas.

Wednesday's snowfall, which brought less than 3 inches of accumulation overnight to parts of southeastern Wisconsin, has stopped, but dangerous cold weather is approaching. Weather Watch 12 is tracking a second,
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - As the Artic Chill dives southward across Wisconsin, sky conditions should remain favorable for the chance at seeing the Northern Lights Monday Night. The Space Weather Prediction Center issued a G4 Geomagnetic Storm Watch, which means the Aurora Borealis may be visible as far south as the central plains states.
With snow and bitter cold in the forecast, the City of Beloit declared a winter weather emergency for Tuesday night into Wednesday.
