The Dallas Stars are back in North Texas with another pivotal game on the docket. The Stars and Minnesota Wild will face off at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night for Game 5 of their Stanley Cup playoff series. Dallas is looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-2 Game 4 loss in overtime on Saturday.
The date is April 24, 2015. The Minnesota Wild went into Scottrade Center, recovered from an early goal-against from then-superstar Vladimir Tarasenko, and methodically hung four goals on the St. Louis Blues.
Wallstedt is coming off a 43-save performance in Game 4's 3-2 overtime win over Dallas on Saturday. He has posted a 2-2 record in Minnesota's first-round series with a playoff-leading 130 saves on 140 shots.
If he's able to play on Tuesday, it will be a big boost for Minnesota's top line and its top power-play unit.
The regional sports network, operated by Main Street (formerly Diamond Sports Group), will be the local broadcast home for the Wild for a maximum of three more games: Tuesday night for Game 5, Thursday for Game 6, and then Saturday if Minnesota's series against Dallas reaches Game 7.
Only five players have scored for the Stars while the Wild have gotten goals from eight, including two huge ones from the fourth line.
