Nine tornadoes touched down across eastern Iowa apart of Friday's severe storm system. A strong EF2 tornado was confirmed between Center Point and Alburnett in Linn County, with peak winds of 120 mph.

Devastating tornadoes are tearing across parts of eastern Nebraska and Iowa on Friday as a multiday severe thunderstorm event ramped up in the central United States, injuring at least three people.

In total, the city is looking at $12.1 million coming in to help it it rebuild everything from water infrastructure to homes.
