As of 7 p.m. Monday, the entire area of San Isabel has been added to the list of communities issued a pre-evacuation order due the Saint Charles fire near Pueblo.

After the speech, Colorado Parks and Wildlife received a letter of intent from key partners in the area to expand recreation on America’s Mountain potentially.

Later Monday evening, the Custer County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) announced that the entire San Isabel area had been added to the pre-evacuation notice.

Arthur Carhart wrote the agency's first recreation plan and completed it in June 1920. It was for the San Isabel National Forest west of Pueblo.

Pre-evacuation orders were issued Monday, Oct. 23 for the San Isabel area and the Aspen Acres, Simonson Meadows, and Terra J Neighborhoods.
